The Midtown West area is considered to lie between 34th Street up to 59th street, and between 8th Avenue and the Hudson River.
The midtown area west of Sixth Avenue from 34th to 59th Street has some of America’s most famous sights and locales. It is home to the Times Square area, which has recently undergone a complete transformation, restoring its ambience and appeal to that of its early 20th-century heyday.
On 42nd Street, you will find art deco movie houses and Broadway theaters that have been refurbished and reopened. There’s also the "E Walk", a new hotel complex consisting of five buildings in one, offers family entertainment and retail stores. In addition, you’ll find the Rockefeller Center and Radio city Music Hall.
Lying behind the New York Public Library is a popular midtown oasis, Bryant Park. It’s a green zone featuring concrete chess tables, park benches and scores of wrought-iron chairs lining its tree-shaded walkways.
Rockefeller Plaza, located at 50th Street east of Sixth Avenue, is famous for its winter ice skating rink, which transforms into a Beverly Hills-style outdoor cafe in the summer months. Rockefeller Center is a huge office and retail complex encompassing a several-block radius from the Plaza. Many Fortune 100 companies are headquartered here.
The John Jay College of Criminal Justice, the Parson's School of Design, and the College of New Rochelle are also located on the west side.
The residential market here is very accommodating, as you will find everything from luxury apartments to charming brownstones.
And after a long day at work, there’s no better place to be than Midtown. You’ll find a wealth of lounges, bars and restaurants filled with people who like to relax and enjoy the evening.
If convenience is what you seek, Midtown is a place for you.
