I came across Yousaf Rehman purely by accident – but it was surely a blessing to have done so. After yet another night of jetlag and anxiety of newcomers navigating the intimidating New York real estate market, I came across a gorgeous ‘no-fee’ listing brokered by Yousaf, so I emailed – what did we have to lose after all? Yousaf called me back the same day and we had a candid conversation about what we were looking for. He quickly then organized a whole bunch of viewings for me and my partner and then spent hours the next day showing them to us. I really wasn’t expecting such quality – every apartment was better than the last, really gorgeous places. I knew by the end of the day that I could trust Yousaf fully and that he had our best interest at heart. So we stopped looking elsewhere and put all our eggs in the Yousaf-basket, and I am so glad we did. By doing so, he took all the stress and worry of finding an apartment and put it all onto his own shoulders. When we finally chose our beautiful apartment, Yousaf continued to push for us through the usually painful third-party verification process – and we were a particularly difficult case. He was eternally optimistic for us even when we weren’t. Yousaf, your determination and patience found and got us the perfect place. We cannot thank you enough. We now consider Yousaf a friend – I’ve never met anyone who just wanted to help (relative strangers) so much. You really can’t put a price on this kind of integrity - I doubt we would still be in this city if it weren’t for him. Neither of us would ever consider going elsewhere – you’d be a fool to do so.
